My first chair was found at a thrift store here in our little community. It was the first chair comfortable enough for me to sit in for hours without suffering from butt fatigue. The chair doesn't have a padded seat but once you add a good chair pad, the different levels of the foot rest will allow you to adjust your sitting position enough to help in long periods of sitting. With the need for another chair for an additional work station, this chair was an obvious choice. Well built, solid and made to last, something you can't say for most commercial chairs with seat pads that break down after 6 months of use. It's not a cheaply priced chair but based on my experience with my thrift store find, this new one will more than meet all of my expectations.
